Girl Scouts Earn Bronze Award

Junior Girl Scout Troop #897 earned its Bronze Award in March. This is the highest award a Junior Girl Scout Troop can earn. Award winners:

Student’s Work is Published

Rebecca Gerard, is a published author. Her short story, “Jennifer and her Lovable Ponies” was published in the Anthology of Short Stories by Young Americans, 2006 edition. She wrote this story when she was 8 years old and in Mrs. Brown’s third grade class. The book was distributed this week. Way to go, Rebecca!

John Pollock - St. Mark’s: Principal Scholar Candidate. Test score 99%

Julia Tomanovich - St. Mark’s: $2,500. Test score 96%
Kevin Tomanovich - St. Mark’s: $1,000. Test score 91%
Brandon Rawding - St. Mark’s: $1,000. Test score 90%



St. Edmond’s Speech Contest

The following students participated in a speech contest held on November 11th at St. Edmond’s School. Holy Angels placed second and won a trophy to display at our school.

Johnny Young placed first in the Oral Interpretation category for his reading of Edgar Allen Poe’s, “The Telltale Heart”.
